In 1999, Rich Hill joined Sally Corporation as an artist. Working his way up in the company, he is now the Creative Director of Sally’s award winning design team. Rich holds a degree in Industrial Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. While there, Hill studied under some of the most noted special effects designers in the movie and theme park industries. Moving to Orlando, he worked for a number of years sculpting, painting, designing and fabricating set pieces and animated characters for Disney World, Universal Studios, Cedar Fair and others. Since joining Sally and the design team, Mr. Hill has shown his creative vision and leadership to be invaluable as we continue to create thrilling dark rides and animatronics for the themed entertainment industry.
What does your job entail?
I create new dark ride concepts, then oversee a team of designers and dark ride artists who make my strange visions come to life!

There have been many favorites over the years, but designing the Justice League dark ride was an amazing experience. Pitching the concept to Six Flags, Warner Bros and DC Comics is a highlight of my career. Taking the ride from blue-sky concept to opening day is something i'll never forget!
