A look back at IAAPA Expo Orlando 2023

And the week begins!  An annual site that gives you all the feels – The OCCC! Time for months of planning to all come together for one week of exposition.

A round of applause to our prep team for getting us ready for a week stay. It's no simple task, but they make it look easy.

Tuesday

It's showtime!

Starting the day out strong with a press conference showcasing Mr. Krabs, an animatronic from SDR's latest attraction - SpongeBob's Crazy Carnival Ride. Full release here.

Present for the announcement and unveiling were Paramount’s Senior Vice President of Themed Entertainment, Marie Marks, and Shana Gerety, General Manager of Circus Circus.

Our partnership with Rovio and Angry Birds was on display, a match made in heaven for an interactive dark ride. And for those that want a dark ride but don’t have the space – check out the Mini Dark Ride!

Additionally, the "Dark Coaster" is now an official product offering from SDR.

Uncharted: The Enigma of Penitence was awarded a Brass Ring for Best New Product for Major Ride/ Attraction.

At the Sally Dark Rides booth to celebrate were PortAventura World’s Choni Fernandez Veciana, and Sony’s Jonathan Casson.

Treasure Hunt: The Ride, our collaboration with DWL Studios, also won a Brass Ring for Family Ride/ Attraction!

Wednesday

Kicking the day off with announcement #2, a contract signing with The Land of Legends theme park for "SpongeBob’s Crazy Carnival Ride", the first outside the United States.  Present for the announcement were Fettah Tamince, Chairman of The Land of Legends, and Paramount’s executive vice president of Themed Entertainment, Ty Granaroli. Full release here.

Thursday

The highlight of day three was seeing all these smiling faces for happy hour. It’s always a good time catching up with friends, new and old!

We debuted our Ghost Blasters 2.0 barrel aged oak stout.

And of course, we had nibbles.  But not just any nibbles – they were SpongeBob-themed!

Here’s to one of our favorite clients, the Cormier's from Funtown Splashtown - enjoying some refreshments.

Friday

We had a great show from start to finish.

The last day was bittersweet. We just didn’t want the fun to end! Thank you IAAPA for hosting another unforgettable show.

Til' next year, Orlando!
