There are many surprises through-out Labyrinth of the Minotaur,
among them being ejected from the ride at certain points if you have not
scored sufficient hits, and, in the final
chamber, coming face to face
with not one, but six 12-foot tall minotaurs. Which one is real?

It’s
impossible to tell until one of them lurches … toward you!

The
Legend
This spectacular dark ride is one of the largest interactive rides in the
world.
Recreating the ancient legend of Theseus, visitors embark on an incredible
journey into the heart of the labyrinth where the Minotaur — a ferocious
creature, half-man, half-bull–
orchestrates the sacrifice of Crete’s most beautiful maidens. Their
mission: to destroy the Minotaur and end his terrible tyranny.
The
Adventure:
Riders board chariots armed with magical crossbows. Once inside the
enormous labyrinth, they face a seemingly endless array of terrifying
creatures, traps and hazards: Attacks by screaming seven-headed,
fourteen-foot tall hydras; a host of ferocious centaurs; a gang of
two-headed bandits; a monstrous three-headed guard dog; a huge metallic
lion; flocks of diving pterodactyls and vicious harpies.
The Winner!
Consistently rated the #1 ride at the park by Terra Mítica visitors,
Labyrinth of the Minotaur was the only ride to receive a “10”
when children were asked to rank their favorite rides on a scale of 1 to 10 for a British television news story. |

There
is also a thirty-eight foot (24.4 meters) long fire and smoke-breathing
dragon, which lies in wait, chest pulsating and head hidden, until the
moment of surprise. |
