With The Great Pistolero Roundup, Sally Corporation created a landmark, family oriented, interactive dark ride concept.

The Challenge
To convert a former Mexican restaurant at Family Kingdom into an anchor attraction.
The Result
Something completely new; with animatronic characters, reactive cartoon pop-ups and props, designed for the existing building. After many creative sessions, and research worldwide for a suitable ride system and interactive electronic gun/target/in-car-scoring system (eventually developed by Sally), the ride was born.
A hit with adults and children alike, the story involves a band of sneaky banditos who are hiding out at Paco’s Cantina following a robbery. A comical Federale sends visitors on a wild chase to catch the scoundrels and recover the gold.
The Awards
The Great Pistolero Roundup has earned IAAPA’s Best New Product (Major Rides and Attractions) award. And, was honored the following year in the Family Entertainment Centers category.
