The Project
This thrilling new edition of the popular Ghost Blasters ride, Ghost Blasters II, dramatically amps up the fright factor. It’s an interactive, black light scare-fest for all ages, with exciting new special effects and spinetingling soundtracks.
Exterior Queue Area
Guests are immersed in the ‘haunted’ atmosphere from the exterior queue line onward: A creepy graveyard with eerie music and sound effects, tombstones, fog and a spitting gargoyle set the mood.
Inside, the intrepid ghost hunter, Professor Phearstruck, outlines the challenge ahead.
The 14-scene ride takes visitors on a wild chase through a haunted graveyard and frightful Bleakstone Manor, as they drive out the evil Boocifer and his cohorts. Scares and surprises await around every corner.
Boocifer comes to haunting life in various forms throughout the ride. The most exciting and memorable encounter with the lead phantom is a fog screen projection of his threatening face–complete with fire effects. The ride vehicles pass through the projection, moving into a pitch black scene filled with frightening skeleton warriors. After the battle, you come face-to-face with Boocifer for the decisive final encounter.
Competition
When Ghost Blasters II opened at Elitch Gardens, the park launched a major contest which was picked up and promoted by the media. Daily prizes were given and the highest scorers met for a well publicized and well-attended “Blast Off” at the end of the season. The ride is the perfect complement to Elitch Gardens’ annual October “Fright Fest” event.
“We were looking for a strong family attraction, and Ghost Blasters II is a fun ride that the whole family can participate in and enjoy. It has been great for us.”
